I was going to have a big sook about crazy old people (ie, the one who went nuts when my sheila even *dared* to check if the old bat's car door had damaged her car when it had hit it. 'It didn't hit it, you weren't even here.' uh, but I was, and the whole car rocked. 'Get out of my way, assault, assault!'), but instead (I almost had a whinge about my newly sprained ankle too, but decided that'd be too wussy) I found this picture on Karsten's page, so enjoy.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
Look at the fruits of my labour. LOOK AT THEM. Oh wait, that's right, THERE IS NOTHING.
Little did I know that a scant four weeks of pissing around after that post I'd be the happy employed drone I am today. Okay, so it wasn't entirely a carefree unemployed existance I got to enjoy; I had to endure four and a half hour interviews (ugh, don't ask) and many a cram session before an interview.
But yes, I am now employed in an extremely exciting profession, much better than Michael anyway.
.... Okay, I'm writing financial software for a living. So sue me. The experience is awesome, the people are great, the programming is... programming. I like it anyway. :)
And in order to make this post funny, I give you Michael's latest.

8 Things To Do While The Forum Is Down
1. Read PlayNOW. It's just like home... except geeks have broken in and are having a LAN in your lounge room.
2. Sit on your porch whittling a small tree branch into a disturbing faceless effigy. When complete, place it on your neighbour's doorstep with pins stuck in its head and a lone piece of paper marked with "NO FORUM".
3. (Shameless plug) Check out the Playstation 2/Xbox/PC video game Michael is currently working on.
4. Make a bid for this Dibbuk Haunted Jewish Wine Cabinet Box.
5. Make lame jokes about the forum "going down" on you.
6. Visit the hillarious sister site of 4bitterguys.com, 4littlegirls.com, then realise after several minutes of searching for a gag that the website is actually devoted to the 1963 Birmingham Church Bombing and revolves around a lot of innocent people dying.
7. Try and find dirt on your friends through Google.
8. Laugh at what it would be like to be a hamster, then realise that for you it's just a momentarly laugh, but for the hamster, it's his life. |
